   @TheVtieg6 indeed the G60 was superchargerd ,tho the turbo had a higher tuning potentiel and there is another golf MKII evolutione i believe where they take combine the best of both engines to get 211HP and it was 4WD

    I’ve got a 16v oak green but it was so fun i ended up gettin caught at 135 on the m6 (unmarked car). only 4 months left of ban – i will never speed again, lol.

    well the 16V GTI …
    well the 16V GTI version is a 138hp and there G60 GTI is 160hp stock….not a laughing matter considering it is a 1.8L engine and the japanese car had a similar power for such engines (exemple the AE86 150ch with a 1.6L)
    as an owner of one of these magnificent machine i can’t disagree with you it handles perfectly

    it does especially when it comes to recent models , and that is why VW cars are rated low in terms of quality over the american continent while Audis that share almost everything (built in europe) hold one of the best ranking position on the same continent.

    Mk1 / mk2= best cars ever made in my opinion. Lewis when i turned 17 5 years ago i also wanted a gti but couldnt get insured. =(. What i did was opt for the mk2 1.6 driver. Pretty cheap 2 insure and alot faster than your pals 1.1 corsa shitboxes. Then when you get older you can get a gti or stick a set ov twin webers on it lol.

    It’s mostly trucks around where I am, but over here in the states, especially west coast, there is quite a large ’92< VW following. Have a few killer swap meets coming up in the next few months.

    sorry how old are you mate…i kno its an 8 valve so lower to insure than a 16v but still im 17 and cant get insured on an 8v…btw i presume your from the u.k
