In the hollow of a valley, just slightly above Palma de Mallorca, the greens lie in the terrain almost like a freshly washed sheet – soft and smooth. The paths slot perfectly into each other. http://janson.com Son Vida Golf course was officially opened by Rainier of Monaco in 1964; making it the oldest golf course on the Balearic Islands. It is situated in the centre of the luxurious exclusive residential area “Son Vida” from which it gets its name. The course is only 3km away from the centre of Palma de Mallorca. The clientele of the course is accordingly demanding. This is a meeting place of local prominent people, rich inhabitants living in the neighbourhood as well as tourists. The game runs through a fashionable exclusive residential area and gives a short insight into the life of the rich and the famous on Mallorca. The course extends over two very diverse areas; hilly on the first half with uneven and narrow paths on the first nine holes and level on the second half with flat and wide paths. Kurt Rossknecht, the renowned golf course designer, has just recently remodelled the course. The result was an exciting symbiosis between a traditional course design and the new and currently contemporary design principles.

http://janson.com It was The Legend that made Mauritius well known as a golfing destination when it opened in 1994. The South African, Hugo Baiocchi, designed the course. It is part of the 5-Star Hotel Belle Mare Plage and is for the exclusive use by the guests of the Constance Hotel Group who may play free of charge. The 70 ha. park is in the middle of an historical deer reserve. An observant golfer can today see deer on the grounds as these wild animals have been successfully reintroduced to the Golf course having virtually been exterminated for quite a while.

http://janson.com Fontana Golf Club is probably the most exclusive in Austria. The entire terrain was designed on the drawing board. The course is just a few minutes drive south of Vienna. Fontana welcomes its guests in one of the most exclusive and spacious clubhouses in the country. Any member here is part of Viennas elite society. If you tee off as a guest, you can feel the noblesse that gives this environment its special ambience. The course was designed by Canadian architect Dough Carrick, who succeeded in designing a spectacular left hand course on a plot of grazing land practically from nothing.
